Ivy Tech curriculum details

A maximum of 60 community college credits may be applied toward the IUPUI B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene.

Additionally, under the terms of this agreement:

  1. Ivy Tech students are eligible for admission with junior standing to IUPUI provided:
    1. The student has submitted a complete application for admission to IUPUI.
    2. A course grade of “C” or better must be earned to be accepted for transfer.
    3. The student has a 2.0 or higher grade point average on a 4 point scale.
  2. As ITCC graduates complete the credit hour requirements for the award of the IUPUI’s B.S. in Dental Hygiene, they must meet the graduation requirements as approved by IUPUI at the time of the student’s admission to the appropriate Dental Hygiene Program.

An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is the designated pathway for Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana (Ivy Tech) students planning to join the workforce after graduation. The pathway for Ivy Tech students with an initial transfer objective is the Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Arts (AA) degree. However, students with an earned AAS degree may decide to pursue transfer into a four-year program after completing the AAS degree. Students must meet the admission and graduation requirements for Ivy Tech and the receiving institution. The receiving institution will apply 60 credits of the AAS degree directly toward the total required credits of 120 for the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. A total of 60 credits are required to complete the receiving program degree after the transfer in of the AAS degree.
