Ivy Tech curriculum details

  1. ITTC graduates from the AS degree BCOM program of study, from any Ivy Tech campus, may transfer and apply up to 60 credit hours from that completed degree to the requirements for the IUPUI BS degree Construction Management program.
  2. If the Ivy Tech AS degree in Building Construction Management (BCOMM) is NOT completed, the following courses WILL NOT transfer to the Construction Management (CM) program at IUPUI: BCOM 210 - Codes and Specifications, BCOM 235 - Safety and Risk Management, and BCOM 220 - Project Planning and Control.

IUPUI curriculum details

  1. ITCC students are eligible for admission with junior standing to IUPUI provided:
    1. The student has submitted a complete application for admission to IUPUI.
    2. The student has earned a course grade of “C” or better on every course accepted for transfer.
    3. The student has a 2.0 or higher grade point average on a 4-point scale.
  2. As ITCC graduates complete the credit hour requirements for the award of the BS degrees in Construction Management, they must meet the graduation requirements as approved by IUPUI at the time of the student’s admission to the appropriate program.
  3. The Construction Management major at IUPUI incorporates, within the curriculum, a required Business Minor from the Kelly School. ITCC students will take five (5) business courses and CEMT 11000 Construction Accounting. In order to fulfill the requirements of the B.S. degree, students must complete the requirements of the Business Minor and have an average cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in courses required for the minor.
  4. Exceptional students may be eligible to enroll in the accelerated program with the University of Indianapolis (U-Indy). This program is a 4+1, which means that in five years a student can receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and a Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) Real Estate Development. For ITCC students, this is actually a 2+1 (two years at IUPUI and one year at U-Indy). Contact the Construction Management Program Director for additional information.
